Oxjam is one massive month of unforgettable gigs happening up and down the country during October, all celebrating local music and all organised by volunteers.
For 2016 we were fortunate enough to be asked to curate our own room at the inaugural Oxjam Crouch End, and to make things even more special our room was to be in the old Town Hall where our offices are based.
Acts on the night included, a clown work shop from Clown Teacher Dan Lees, music from pop powerhouse Club De Fromage, quizzes from Musical Bingo and Sounds Familiar as well as a glorious climatic end of the night 90s house party.
All in all we managed to raise over £3000, all of which will be donated to Oxjam and their ongoing battle to fight global poverty.
“The It’s Unknown Team were THE PERFECT collaboration for Oxjam Crouch End. They totally embraced the fundraising initiative and curated an entire days’ worth of music and entertainment to our Oxjam festival. But more than that, Jonny and his team also helped curate, advise/mentor the volunteer team to bring a bigger and better fundraising event to Crouch End. Their creativity, professionalism, endless ideas and constant supply of incredibly talented acts they represent, was second to none. They were utterly selfless and did everything they could (and more) to help us raise over £3,000 for Oxfam. They are simply THE BEST! I will be recommending them to everyone I meet!”
